“ I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not. We both love PoK-e-Jo's! The sides here are amazingly flavorful with lots of options, including vegetarian and even some vegan dishes. My husband loves all of the BBQ meats, especially the turkey. I really enjoyed the veggie plate with cheesy broccoli, buttered corn, and potato casserole. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful ”
“ Today's lunch spot: PoK-e-Jo's! I usually get the two meat plate with brisket that comes with two sides and a Texas toast; this time, I selected pork ribs as my 2nd meat, green beans casserole and broccoli with cheese. As usual, the meat was tender and delicious, the staff were helpful and friendly. While dining, I also got the chance to compare the interior decoration of this location with other PoK-e-Jo's... I got to admit the ceiling was definitely very Texan. A great place to dine with a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended. ”
“ Delicious pork ribs, the best smoked chicken i ever had that cooked to perfection, juicy snd tender alike. Well kept no nonsense ambience located in a prime location. Courteous staff, self service, excellent food. This was my second time here and will visit again. Dont miss their pickled cucumber.! ”
“ PoK-e-Jo's is my favorite barbecue place in Texas. Their brisket and ribs are awesome, and I love the turkey too. Their selection of sauces is great - I love the original sauce, but other family members prefer the spicy or the peach-habanero sauces. Good stuff - oh, and the fried okra is incredible too!! ”
“ Love going here. A turkey and sausage combo sandwich is my go to. Always get the okra too. This place is so good even the okra is happy. Todd ”
“ This barbecue is delicious and we enjoyed our team dinner here. The service was very friendly and fast. There were lots of different sides and I love the fact that you could have dry brisket or fattier brisket. ”
“ We went to PoK-e-Jo's for a food tasting for our upcoming wedding. The food and service were amazing! We worked with Mona, her customer service was incredible! Extremely professional, communication was great, and she was very pleasant to work with both via email and in person! We tried a bunch of stuff, like chips, salsa, guacamole, queso, pineapple salsa, and black bean salsa. All of it was really good. We also had the grilled cheese (both the basic and the brisket version), which were both great. For the meats, we had chicken, brisket, ribs, sausage, and turkey. My favorites were the ribs, brisket, and sausage. We also tried all the sides! The best were the potato salad and mac and cheese. I highly recommend this place! ”
“ Very nice people. The food was very good. Got a big family meal that had more than enough for my large family. Brisket, smoked turkey and sausage were all on point. Mac and cheese, loaded potato casserole and potato salad were our favorite sides. I like the condiment bar with pickles, onions, etc... to make my own bbq sandwich. I’ll be back next time I’m in town. Thanks ”
